My love for Placer County - "Bishops Pumpkin Farm"

What a great way to celebrate Fall with a trip to "Bishops Pumpkin Farm" in Wheatland.

There are many traditions my family has with growing up in this area. Bishops is one of those. I have been going here since my girls were little, and now I am taking my grand kids. Each year we make our annual trek out to feed the animals at the Petting Zoo, ride the Train, go down all the slides, roam through the Pumpkin Patch, take a spin on the Carousel, eat some fabulous homemade Pumpkin or Apple Pie, stroll through the Gift Shop, watch the Apple peeling and cider demo and sample the cider, and end it with a ride on the Hay Wagon and picking out the perfect Jack O Lanterns for my little ones! What a nice day it was.

Many people are now joining in these Annual Traditions and the Farm has almost tripled in size since we first began going here back in the mid 80's.  What wonderful memories I have of this place and bringing my own children out here.  Always a great time and some good, old fashioned family fun!

Below are some of the photos I took on last weekends journey to find the perfect pumpkin for my two little ones. I hope you enjoy the photos and be sure to visit Bishops as well.  It is great to support our local merchants as they continue to offer us a way to make memories for our own.  Many thanks to them and the traditions they offer to us.

The Petting Zoo gives many children a chance to see Farm animals up close.

The Hay Bin - I love the smiles and the heights these two reached!
Plenty of fun to have ...

There's a special lot for the overgrown Pumpkins

The girls loved the slides and the Hay Wagon was a hit with grandma as well =)

Pumpkins in all shapes, colors an varieties...

Making Cider and peeling apples for those wonderful pies!

riding the Carousel .. so much fun who says you have to grow up!

The Gift Shop is always one of my favorite places to visit. Lot of goodies for all the
Holiday seasons and some beautiful wreaths of the Fall leaves.

These two...  LOL..

We hope you get a chance to visit one of the lovely places in the area.
Enjoy some great times and make some fun memories and Fall to you.

Until next month ... Best wishes and enjoy your days
