Holiday time in Sacramento, fun - fun!

Growing up in the Bay Area, my Grandma made it a tradition to take us each year to the "Nutcracker Ballet" in San Francisco. I loved what this brought to a child's eyes and the dreams that we envisioned after.
Recently I ventured to downtown Sac to continue that tradition. I brought this into my own children's lives when they were younger, but this time with my two precious granddaughters. What a fun day we had!
It included a very special dress for the day, (which I told them made them looked like princesses). I also reminded them thru out the day that the other children thought they really were really Princesses! LOL... I know this day will stay in their memories for a very long time! It was just as magical for me as well. =)

Below are some photos of our adventure.  We were lucky enough to turn it into a whole day event and had a blast.

Lunch at the Hyatt Hotel for my little ones.

 Fun at the Capitol!

A little Day Trip to Davis...

I live a healthy lifestyle and I always love to go explore new places. Combining the two are always my perfect getaway!  Last weekend I had a nice, quick, day trip to the "Davis Arboretum". It's very close to our area and offers a quaint town to check out and grab a bite to eat afterwards, while the walk along the trails are gorgeous! You can also bring your bike and park in the "WHOLE FOODS" Parking Lot that will allow you to do the whole trail.  Here are some photos from my trip.... as you can tell it is very picturesque and a great way to relax and unwind.  Hope you can get away and enjoy as well!  For more information visit their site...  http://arboretum.ucdavis.edu/
